We set high standards for ourselves
We want future generations to have a good world in which to live. That is why we want to keep our impact on the environment to a minimum. We are getting better and better all the time at reducing our environmental impact, but we are far from satisfied. We will continue to make progress on all fronts.
THIS IS WHAT WE ARE DOING TODAY
We want our products and packaging to have as little effect on the environment as possible. To succeed in this, we place tough environmental demands on our suppliers and contractors.
Our products consist mainly of leather. For leather to be usable, to feel good on the skin and to offer protection, we must add chemicals to it. We add no more than absolutely necessary. Many people are allergic to chromium, and there is an EU directive defining permissible levels. We naturally keep below these limits.
We streamline our use of energy and transport, and minimise waste. We transport as much freight as possible by sea and rail, to avoid using environmentally unfriendly air freight. Container facilities in nearby Insjön allow us to ship freight efficiently and coordinate transport with other local companies.
We recycle materials. We are registered with REPA [Swedish Producer Liability Association], which indicates that our packaging is recycled to the maximum extent possible. We are also certified according to ISO 14001.
We promote environmentally-friendly products. By producing high-quality gloves and footwear and selling them successfully, we avoid contributing to the waste created by cheaper products.
We will never be complacent in our environmental work, and we strive constantly for further improvements.
Quality in every seam
Ejendals’ primary aim is to deliver the highest possible quality to our customers. This aim permeates everything we do, products and services alike. To guarantee the quality of our products, we have chosen to work directly with our appointed suppliers, without any intermediaries.
Long term cooperation
We have refined this working method over many years and have collaborated with most of our selected factories for more than 20 years. We often have our own specialists on site at manufacturer locations to follow up on our cooperation.
The factories with which we have chosen to cooperate are among the best in the world. Our range of products is renowned for being extensive and versatile. The factories therefore have separate specialities. Different materials require different production methods.
Manufacturing a glove in leather or cotton, for instance, involves quite a different process than making one from a synthetic material. The products are continually being developed, which results in increasingly advanced demands. Each manufacturer produces the items at which they are best. This means that you as a customer can feel confident in our products.
At Ejendals, we guarantee quality.
