The company was founded in Japan in 1918 masters Ryosuke Namikii and Masao Wada . Originally, the company was named The Namiki Manufacturing Company.
In 1938 it was renamed to The Pilot Pen Co . , Ltd . , And its current designation Pilot Corporation borne by the company since 1989. The modern name refers to the decades of creativity , innovation and design, which ensured the brand PILOT position among the world leaders in the field of writing instruments.
